Peaceful World Center at the Red Vic

A San Francisco gathering place for people, ideas and ideals.

The Peaceful World Center at the Red Vic is a living museum that commemorates the history of San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury District and supports the growth of local social movements. Our members use this nourishing space to foster and celebrate peacemaking and progress!

As a hub where organizations and individuals can engage with each other, the center is a great place to host a meeting, make new friends at a conversation, or participate in one of the many events put on by various local organizations. We specialize in booking and appreciating music and events about justice, environment, love and peace. Sometimes funny, sometimes profound, always inspiring, the space is intended as a venue where community based action and education can flourish. These events are acoustic, intimate, participatory and interactive.
